The NCAA supports clean play by implementing random drug testing. The drug testing holds athletes responsible for what they put into their bodies. Student athletes can be tested year round, at any location. You must put your place of residence for the school year and at home on all documents so that they can administer the tests anywhere.
Banned drugs include:
- Performance enhancers
- Stimulants
- Peptide hormones
- Masking agents
- Street drugs
Universities can also perform random drug testing on their athletes. These drug tests are “in house” which means that the school, not the NCAA, will administer the tests.
